Mika Lindblad

Her design is based on the motto: function as a means to aesthetics. By using construction as a vehicle for aesthetic expression, she aims to create responsible products that age with dignity, both materially and aesthetically. Mika graduated with a degree in product design from Beckmans College of Design in 2020 and has since completed dual master's programs in industrial design and interior architecture at Konstfack. Today, she runs Mika Lindblad Studio.

“My primary role as a designer is to observe, interpret, and understand the product's context; its user and environment. Based on this understanding, I want to create products where function and aesthetics become central to my design. The fact that a product is aesthetically pleasing is crucial for its longevity and for our ability to justify its existence in a world of material abundance. I strive to design objects that are sustainable, with timeless design and well-considered material choices. Sober, elegant, and clear,” says Mika Lindblad.
