Margarita Matiz Bergfeldt

Margarita Matiz Bergfeldt was born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1973. Today she lives and works in Stockholm, having originally moved here to study at Konstfack. She received her Master's degree in industrial design in 1999.

Her work covers a variety of fields, ranging from high-tech design projects for the space industry to crafts and product design. She has also worked extensively to promote and spread the importance of design abroad through various exhibitions. She uses her profession as a tool to create platforms, encourage dialogue, and foster creative thinking. In 2012, she founded SEART, an initiative aimed at highlighting the emerging art scene in Sweden by creating new and exciting ways to experience and engage with art.
