Jonas Bohlin is one of the most experienced and recognized designers we have in Sweden. Jonas has designed interior objects, furniture, lamps, and a multitude of other products. He was a professor of furniture design at Konstfack between 2004–2009 and the founder of the design department at Beckmans. His career quickly took off in 1981 with his degree project Betong (a chair made of concrete), which led to a major breakthrough in the industry. What is most important? Form or function? For Jonas, the answer has been irrelevant, as he has always adhered to his own view of design.
In 1994, Jonas received significant attention when he rowed all the way to Paris in the boat Liv. In addition to himself, a total of 53 friends participated in various stages of the journey. During the rowing, he found inspiration, which resulted in the LIV collection. Jonas's philosophy is to create sustainable design with a long lifespan.
